Starbed Platforms
Located close to key water sources, the platforms provide excellent opportunities to see wildlife as they move through the area to drink from the pans throughout the day.
Bhenji Weir
Bhenji Weir is one of Gonarezhou’s most iconic wildlife areas, attracting large herds of elephant, buffalo, and other species to the only permanent surface water within a vast area of the Park. The Bhenji pan platform is the only covered platform in Gonarezhou and is elevated above the water, offering sweeping views over the Bhenji Stream Valley and the main game trails leading to the spring. Its position allows for exceptional wildlife viewing directly from the platform.

Malugwe
Located deep in the centre of Gonarezhou National Park, Malugwe Platform lies in one of the Park’s most remote and rarely visited areas. The raised wooden platform is tucked away 3 metres above the ground, in an ancient Leadwood Tree. The platform overlooks a natural wetland pan system that holds water for most of the year, although water availability is not guaranteed during the dry season.
The pan attracts wildlife moving through the heart of the Park, and because this area sees very little human activity, animals are naturally very alert. Guests who remain quiet and observant are often rewarded with exceptional wildlife sightings from this platform, in a vast, open wilderness setting far from any other camps.

Gorwe
Gorwe Platform overlooks a productive natural pan that forms part of a wider network of pans in the Gorwe area. In good years, the pan holds water throughout the year and attracts a variety of wildlife.
The platform is simple and positioned close to the pan, allowing guests who remain quiet and observant to watch animals approach the water. Guests can choose to sleep up on the open-air deck or set up tents within the ground-level boma.
